While almost every form of production slowed down over the last few months as a result of the current pandemic, farmers have continued to deliver their produce to market. People have recognized how important agriculture is to the world and farmers are becoming more valued for their contribution to the world.

In the midst of it all, EASYFIX decided to come up with a campaign to show our support for farmers who are continuing to keep us all fed throughout this strange time. #WeAreStillFarming began on social media where EASYFIX encouraged farmers to post pictures and videos of all things farming. The aim of the campaign was to fill news feeds with positivity and to remind people that farmers are still flat out farming to keep the nation fed.

The campaign gained great traction with many influencers speaking about it on their Instagram pages, showing their support for the farming industry. Soon there were over a thousand participants, both young and old, sharing pictures and videos of themselves out on the farm.

The campaign was discussed on RTE 2FM Breakfast Show twice and it even got a section on The Today Show with Maura and Daithí on RTE One with farming influencer, Anna Truesdale, discussing how she was coping with farming life throughout the pandemic.  We feel that this has been an eye-opener for those who don’t work in the farming industry and that it has raised great awareness for all the hard work that farmers do behind the scenes. However, we believe that it is important to support farmers 365 days a year and we will continue to do so!

After all, not all heroes wear capes… they wear wellies too!
