National Ploughing Championships 2019

Preparations are well under way for the 88^th year of The National Ploughing Championships which is taking place in Ballintrane, Fenagh, Co. Carlow from Tuesday 17th to Thursday 19^th of September.

Europe’s Largest Outdoor Agricultural Trade Show

The National Ploughing Championships is Europe’s leading outdoor agricultural trade exhibition. This year, 1700 exhibitors from all over the world will showcase a vast range of products available for the agricultural industry. The event attracts visitors from all over the world and over 240,000 people are expected to attend this year.

Over 300 competitors will take part in the ploughing events in which there is huge interest. These competitions are the heart of the National Ploughing Championships and produce great excitement every year.

There will be plenty of other fun events and activities throughout the three days including sheep shearing, pony games, hunt chase, funfair, brown bread baking competition and cookery/craft demonstrations- there is something for everyone!
