Preparations are well under way for the National Ploughing Championships taking place in Screggan, Tullamore, Co. Offaly from Tuesday 19th September to Thursday 21st September 2017.

Europe’s leading outdoor agricultural trade exhibition

The National Ploughing Championships are Europe’s leading outdoor agricultural trade exhibition. This year 1700 exhibitors from all over the world will showcase a vast range of products available for the agricultural industry today. The national ploughing championships attract visitors from all over the world and 283,000 people are expected to attend this prestigious event.

Over 300 competitors will take part in the Ploughing events in which there is huge interest, these competitions are the heart of the National Ploughing Championships and produce great excitement every year.

Awards taking place at the National Ploughing Championships

Innovation Award:

There is a prize fund worth over €70,000 available in business mentoring, advertising and cash for the innovation award.  This promises to be a centre stage event at the national ploughing championships

Brown Bread Baking:

There is also a brown bread baking competiton with the most admired bakers taking part. There is a prize fund available of €15,000.
